Operation Deep Freeze

After an avalanche strands you in an alt-history Cold War Antarctic wilderness, you must ski, climb, and scavenge deeper into the mountains to survive, while you uncover the mysteries buried beneath the ice and time.

Why I made it

This game is inspired by my love of the mountains, conspiracies, mysteries, geopolitics, and the Age of Exploration. Some of my favorite games like Subnautica and Ark: Ascended inspired the format of the game. The story takes inspiration from the real-life American Operation Deep Freeze. I know I ignored the intended format a bit, but I was inspired to see how deep of a real game engine you could vibe code in a single month, although this was my first time programming a 3D game so there was lots to learn. My game has an ECS system with bitECS. I created all the assets with AI btw (shoutout elevenlabs and Tencent's 3d.hunyuanglobal.com)
