one tall thing, one long fall, no story getting in the way. Failure only ever costs you what you were carrying. At height readability is the game, so the ledges have to read clean at a glance.

Climbing games live in the jump arc and the camera. Not much else matters. The lineage this pulls from is the right one, and that lineage is unforgiving about air control, so I'd expect movement that feels deliberate rather than floaty. If the momentum carries the way it should... that's an evening of swearing well spent.

Small idea, executed straight. Read that as an observation, not a complaint. No progression, no systems, just a tower and however much patience you brought, and plenty of people will bounce right off that. A clean climb beats a bloated one, for me. So yes, with the caveat that you are buying exactly one mechanic.

Climbing games are precision instruments, and this one makes no secret of it. Restful it is not. The top is the goal, the route is the whole game, and the only reward loop on offer is your own patience. i like slow things. Slow and punishing are not the same thing though, and steadier hands than mine will get a lot out of this.
