About Boots and Bullets
What is it, in your words?
A browser Cannon Fodder "clone". Six soldiers, one hit kills them, 50 missions across a jungle, a desert and a frozen north. Free, no download, no sign-up. Fair warning up front: it's AI-built, hopefully not your typical slop.
How it plays
Left click moves your squad, right click fires. One bullet kills anyone, you or them, so it's less about aim than about who's behind cover and who just walked into the open. Between missions you spend War Bonds in the Armoury on better guns, grenades and airstrikes.
Why I made it
I'm an old Amiga 600 guy and played the original when it was new, and there's nothing that scratches that itch in a browser tab. It was also an experiment in how far I could get building a whole game with Claude Code, no image files ship at all, every sprite is drawn in code when the page loads.
Prototype built in 24 hours and live on hosting, and then 9 days more to polish it.
What's next
It's still early. Desktop only, phones can't play it yet, and the onboarding is barely there. 1v1 multiplayer over a room code is in, and a CPU-vs-CPU arena. Whether I do a bigger version really depends on whether anyone enjoys this one, so let me know what you think.
