Captain Curveball's Cruise

Captain Curveball’s Cruise is a chaotic tropical boat-driving game where one or two players race against the clock to earn as much money as possible by picking up tourists, surviving ridiculous disasters, and delivering passengers safely.

Why I made it

As a Maldivian, I wanted to make a game that captures a fun, exaggerated glimpse of what excursion crews experience in the Maldives. Their work can be beautiful, chaotic, and unpredictable, so I wanted to turn that into a lighthearted game about speedboats, tourists, islands, resorts, reefs, and ridiculous disasters. While the goal is to earn as much money as possible within the time limit, I also wanted the game to feel enjoyable even outside the score chase — just sailing around the islands, banking around resorts, and cruising through a playful version of the Maldives.
