Clay is such an underused look. The one game everybody remembers doing it well is thirty years old now. Prehistoric tribes scrapping over resources and hauling them home is a clean enough idea to hang that texture on. Tone carries most of this, and the tone is right.

Couldn't click with it, sorry. Bits of a brawler and bits of a resource run bolted together, and across one short sitting I never worked out which of them I was meant to be good at. It definately looks lovely. I came away confused instead of competitive.

The look is carrying this and I'm fine with that being true. Gather, fight, run home first. You will not find a simpler competitive loop, and there isn't much visible underneath it. But it commits to a look, it knows exactly what it's referencing, and it gets out before it wears thin. Worth a go for the surface alone.

The clay carries this and its charming stuff, you can see thumbprints in everything. Underneath, a brisk gather-and-race where routing matters more than fighting. The Neverhood comparison is ambitious but fondly meant.
