Death Arena

Three bosses and a lobby of players in one space goes one of two ways. Brilliant chaos, or an unreadable mess. Not much middle ground with this stuff. It leans entirely on other people being there too, and that's a standing risk. The points target is what rescues it for me, because it gives all that noise a direction. Cautious yes.

Putting bosses in the same arena as the other players is decent design, because the thing you should be watching keeps changing. Feel and hit feedback will decide whether it's worth staying in. And a race to a fixed score keeps everyone honest: you can't turtle your way to a win while somebody else is farming.

Everybody in one room, chasing a score up to a fixed number. Nothing to unlock, nothing to read. That's the arcade shape and it fits a browser tab full of strangers. Chaos is the point. My one ask: put the score up big and leave it there permanently, because that's what turns a scrap into a race.

Players and bosses in the arena at the same time, which is every bit as chaotic as it's aiming for. Racing to ten thousand while something enormous tries to kill you keeps the pressure right up. Thinner once the lobby empties, sure. The bosses carry it on their own.
