Demolition Derby

One idea, played straight, no pretence of being anything bigger. The FlatOut lineage is stated outright, and it doesn't promise a career mode or progression it hasn't built. Rounds finish nearly as fast as they start, and that will bore some people quickly. I still say it earns its couple of minutes, because it doesn't waste one of them

Collisions are the hardest thing to make feel good in a browser, and this is nothing but collisions, so the physics is carrying the whole game on its back. Derby logic says weight and impact count for far more than precision in the steering, and the dusty arena framing suggests they know it. Judge this one with the arena full, not empty.

Ram cars. That's the game. Loaded it up late, bounced off a few strangers, laughed, closed the tab. Nothing to learn and nothing to loose, and at eleven at night that suits me down to the ground.

Cars hit cars. That is the extent of it, and it turned out to be oddly restful. Nothing to learn, nothing to lose, a minute a go. What I liked most is that it never asks me to get good, or to remember anything at all between sessions. Not calm exactly. Low stakes though, which after a long day was what I wanted.
