Elysium: The Finding

Weird one. You're diving about hunting for a pearl and there is something down there winding you up on purpose, and I ended up chatting to it instead of searching properly. Not the plan... I'm still not sure it's a good game. Enjoyed poking at it more than I thought I would.

A language model running locally in your tab, working against you while you hunt for something in a reef. Properly strange idea, and strange gets you further with me than polished does. It talks back and it can mess with the world around you. Putting it underwater gives it something calm to ruin, and that's the good instinct at work.

Swimming controls in a browser are hard to get right, so I went in braced to fight the movement all the way. Then the talkative thing in the water starts interfering while you hunt the pearl. Either a great antagonist or one more layer between your hands and the game. Novel pressure whichever it is.
