Fever Trip

Turning a character's inner demons into literal enemies has been done since the genre began, and nothing here suggests anybody is doing more with it than the pun allows. The enthusiasm is real and it reads like somebody's first game, which is no crime at all. The story has to earn that premise first.

A single player campaign shooter in a browser is a far harder ask then an arena, so the ambition alone gets my attention. The maker said the feel of the shooting came first. Correct order, and it's the one first projects usually skip straight past. Get the gun right and plenty of other things can be rough.

An agent looks into something strange, aliens turn out to be behind it, and the mind starts going. Well worn setup. Making the inner demons literal at least gives the game somewhere to walk that isn't another corridor full of grunts. Story led shooters are rare thing in a browser, so I'd sooner someone tried this and half landed it.

The shooting is better than the story and im fine with that. Guns have a proper snap. The inner demons material is laid on with a trowel, but there's a real campaign underneath, which almost never happens at this scale.
