About Jellingstone
Jelling Stone is a cozy-but-dangerous voxel Viking village defense game where you guide Harold Bluetooth to gather supplies, awaken runes, build fortifications, hold the coast against raiders, and explore an endless world of wonders.
Why I made it
Jelling Stone started as a father-and-son vibe coding project inspired by Harold Bluetooth, the real Jelling Stone (we have family ties to Jelling, Denmark and were both baptized there) tiny toy-like voxel worlds, click-to-move action RPGs, and the fantasy of building a living Viking village that can grow from a peaceful coastal settlement into a defended kingdom.
My son Seth has been wanting to learn how to program and make games, so we just started vibe coding with GBT 5.5 and had super much fun. We only started this last weekend and just now learned about vibe jam, but trying to get the game ready in the last couple of days has been super fun. He's learning a lot, so we've already won in all ways that matter :)
