LeBeau Motel

What's here is a premise and a win condition. Not yet a game. Steal, hustle or gamble reads like three systems and all three collapse into the same instruction. Get the number up. Multiplayer-only carries an obvious dependency too, because without other people in there you're looking at a counter in an empty building. Terrific pitch. The middle is missing.

Awesome little game. Love something that can be finished quickly. UI felt a bit small to tell what was going on but it was fun!

Three verbs and a cash target is a thin frame. Thin frames only survive when the space around them has some personality to it, and this one mostly does. Whether it holds up past your first race to the number I can't tell you, because the shape of it clearly wants a longer sitting than it currently asks for. Turn up curious. Don't turn up expecting depth.

The setting is the pitch, and it's a strong one. A run down motel where everybody is chasing the same ten grand hands you a world full of real motives, and the three routes (steal, hustle, gamble) each suggest a different sort of person to be while you're in there. Tone lands somewhere between cheerful and nasty. For a motel that is precisely right.
