Ramming ships as a whale comes down to weight in the end. Underwater movement rests on turn rate, and on how clearly the game telegraphs the moment you break the surface. Give the rise some heft, land the impacts, and it has the one thing it needs.

A typical run lasts about a minute, and that's the honest measure of the thing. Lovely idea, small game. Flipping the hunt around is a strong hook, but I came away wanting a campaign and holding a set piece. Give it the minute anyway.

Playing the monster in a Moby-Dick story is a good instinct, and fog plus fragile hulls does alot of work before you've touched a control. What I want comes after the imagery... some sense that the fleet is learning, that the hunt is tightening on you. The premise promises myth. Whether the systems reach it is still open.

Arcade in the oldest sense of the word. Up you come, you smash something, the run ends, you go again. Putting you in the whale rather than with the hunters tells you your job on the spot. Give me a number to chase and i'd be on it all night.
