Had a look at this because it gained a couple negative reviews and I can see where they are coming from but I also appreciate the work put in here. The game is just a bit complex to follow. Even the first mission doesn't remind you were to put the fuse. It does seem like a look of great ideas and complexity was added to the game, it's just hard to follow and I'm too lazy to read a lot. But great work either way.
Life boiled down to ones and zeros is a tidy framing for a pixel sim, and the scale of it appeals to me. You farm a bit, you hustle a bit, you're in and out inside a minute and nothing here wants your whole evening. There's clearly a far larger game it's reaching towards. Judged as a small loop you can repeat, though, I already have a reason to click on it again.
Loaded it up late, wandered around a while, closed the tab. A little pixel world where you farm and muck about is normally right up my street. I just never reached the bit that made me want to keep going... one to check back on in a few months, maybe.
Farm, hack and hustle asks three verbs to carry an awful lot in one sentence, and I never found much of a system sitting under any of them. What exists at the moment feels like the opening slice of a multiplayer life sim rather than the thing itself. If it grows I'll come back and look again. As it stands I can't tell anyone to make the journey.
