Lovely old arcade contract, this one. You blow yourself up to start a chain, then you're racing the clock. Making the timer the real enemy keeps the scoring honest. Reads clean at speed too, which is half the job in a game about the screen coming apart.

The decision that matters is when to detonate, and that quietly turns a shooter into a positioning problem. Youre not aiming. You're waiting for density to build and then committing. None of it lands without chain feedback loud enough to teach you, and the feedback is loud.

Chain reaction games have such a lovely rhythm to them. You set one thing going and after that you're mostly watching, which is about as low pressure as a shooter ever gets. The clock keeps things brisk without tipping over into stressful. Lovely thing to open in a tab and let bloom for a minute or so.
