Offer me a class and a race and you have promised me builds. Builds only mean anything if two runs can come apart from each other, and one short wave-survival round hasn't got the space for that. I like the framing and the ambition is pointed somewhere good. There just isn't enough content yet for any of those choices to matter.

Class, race, then hold off the waves and see what you have built. Small RPG in the honest sense of the word: you make the choices at the start and you live with them after. The 80s adventure flavour carries a lot of the atmosphere by itself, and I would take a longer version with double the class list without thinking twice.

Pick a class, pick a race, and you've been promised a build. A build only means something if the waves start asking it different questions, and that connection feels assumed here rather than made. Decent skeleton. Not somewhere I'd go back to yet.
