Expected one joke stretched over a genre template. It's better built than the gag lets on. Going 2D keeps the screen legible once the crowd arrives, and that's precisely where these games usually come apart. Satire has a short shelf life. What you're left holding is the loop, and the loop holds.
Wanted to like the joke. It didn't land for me. Peel off the tech bro skin and it's the same auto attack survivors loop I've played dozens of, and the satire had worn thin long before the run was over. If you live online more than I do you'll probably get more from it. I bounced
Most survivors likes carry no fiction whatsoever, so building one on satire and a story is a proper swing. The roster also saves the writer a pile of effort, because you walk in already knowing who these people are. Whether the joke can hold up that long is what I'll be watching.
The satire is broader than it needs to be. Underneath is a survivors-like tuned with real care, where the build choices actually diverge. Id happily have played it with none of the jokes attached.
