The Hollow

A procedurally generated 3D horror cave crawler where every sonar ping that helps you find the way out... might also be the sound that gets you killed.

Why I made it

What if your only tool for seeing in the dark was also what attracts what is hunting you? The cave was the perfect setting for this - claustrophobic, scary and dark, exactly where you need "light". I wanted to explore this interesting idea while keeping things extremely performant. I only found out about the gamejam a week ago, so i worked day and night to make this real, and of course i gotta pay tuition so that motivated me to try my luck too 🙂‍↕️
