Karaoke, minus the room full of people looking at you. It moves at the pace of the song instead of pushing you along, and taking it one word at a time makes singing along definately gentler than rhythm games usually manage. Nice thing to have open on a slow evening.

Word by word instead of note by note is a genuinely fresh angle on an extremely crowded genre, and it does change what you're paying attention to. The catch is the one every rhythm game runs into. It comes down to how many songs there are. The idea is good enough to deserve a library that keeps up with it.

Hitting words rather than beats is a far bigger ask than it sounds. Syllables come out uneven and messy, so the timing window ends up carrying the whole game, and when your input lands right on the vocal it feels great. Fast lines are where it gets tight. That forgiveness curve is the one thing worth tuning above everything else here.
