About Moralia
Moralia is a history game built around real decisions.
How it plays
You read a short, fact-checked story from history, but it stops at the exact moment someone had to choose.
You make your decision before knowing the outcome. Only then do you see what actually happened, how other players chose, and the historical figure behind the story.
A new dilemma appears each day, so the whole thing is designed to feel like a small ritual rather than a long game session.
Why I made it
My partner and I are pretty addicted to Wordle, and I’ve always loved the idea of a tiny daily experience that is fun but also leaves you knowing something new.
I’m also a history nerd, especially ancient history, so Moralia came from combining those two things: putting you inside a historical crossroads while both choices still feel possible.
I designed the product, UX and visual system, then used Claude Code heavily to build and iterate the working version.
What's next
Moralia is already live, and I’m continuing to improve it based on how people actually use it.
For now, I mostly want to keep adding depth to the experience, polish the return loop, and find more people who enjoy arguing with history as much as I do.
